NATIONAL WORLD BLOOD DONORS DAY 2013, THEME: GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE,DONATE BLOOD

Dacelebrated on 14 June every year, serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.

With the slogan "Give the gift of life: donate blood", this year’s campaign, the 10th anniversary of World Blood Donor Day, will focus on the value of donated blood to the patient, not only in saving life, but also in helping people live longer and more productive lives.

In Tanzania National World Blood Donor day to be held in Mara Regional on 14th June, 2013, at MKENDO Ground and The Guest of hanour will be the Minister of Health and Social Welfare Hon. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi (MP) .

Theme for this year event is Every Blood Donation is the Gift of life. Also this year celemony will be celebrated in National blood Transfusion service (NBTS) zonal centers such Mbeya, Dar-es-Salaam, Mtwara, Kilimanjaro, Tabora. for furher information contact 0712612000.
