Foreign Minister of Tanzania, Bernard Membe, stressed his country’s complete support of the Palestinian application for statehood membership in the United Nations, according to the Palestinian embassy in Tanzania.
Membe, in his speech during the celebrations in Dar es Salaam to mark the 66th anniversary of establishing the UN, affirmed Tanzania’s continuous and concrete support for Palestinians’ rights to independence and freedom.
He stressed that the UN was formed to defend peoples’ rights to freedom and to support the struggle against occupation, demanding it to solve the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution.
