Biography, Aimé. M.
My name is Aime Mugabonihera. My Artist name is Aimé. M. I was born on April 16, 1988 in Burundi. I have Seven siblings, four big brothers, two big sisters and one little brother, and we all have same parents mom and dad. I lived in Burundi for couple of months, then we moved to Rwanda once the civil wars in Burundi had reached were we live. We settled in kigari Lilima in Rwanda.
After a year or two, war came out of no where again, then we moved to Tanzania. While this transition, is when I sow the most craziest moment of my life. Getting separated from my parentand my other siblings. My parent had went to the storebefore the war, so the ran on their own. As for mysiblings, we were seating in a circle, so we ran intwo groups. My little brother and my second oldestbrother was with me, the rest was on their own. As wewere moving (the group that i was in) the terriblething happened. We came across this street and wecrossed it and walled on the other side of it.
Therewere houses on both sides of the tree and up like 10meters there were a big tree. when we reached near it, there was a old man who was seating in a chairaffront his house "I assumed" then a bomb or a luncheror something, was dropped in the tree which at themoment was like 3 meters away from us.
At the moment, the old guy had jumped out of the chair and my big brother was pushing a bike which was carrying stuffand my brother ( He could walk because he got heart inthe leg) then my brother let the bike go right afterthe bomb drop-et.
My little brother felled in thechair that the old guy was seating in, the old guy hadtook off, and while my brother and started to runaway, my little brother started to scream. You areleaving me. then my brother turned around and carriedhim and we ran. I can not ever forget this moment. See the bomb didn't not explode. People who went backafter the war had ended said that the tree was stillstand and the bomb there and visible as well. We didn't see a thing. we just heard it. And the wholething took seconds. anyways, after 3 weeks separated. We (the children) found etch other. But in themeanwhile, the other set of my siblings, had found myuncle who lived in the same camp that we were in.
So my oldest brother remembered that my father alwaystold them about our uncle who lived on thee other endof zaire. And thats where we headed. after we gotthere like 2 weeks later my parents came there aswell. They knew that its were we could had been sincethey told my brothers about it all the time. "We werelooking throughout dead people while running away tosee if we could find any of you but thank god that youall are doing great" my parents said while greetingus. The next day we took the boat and headed totanzania. Where we live d in a refugee camp called Muyovozi camp located in Kasulu Kigoma , Tanzania.
We lived there for 5 years. And thats where i started school. We were one of the people who started the campwhip its still there until today. I remember when i was taking the "CONCOUR test" which was a test that inorder to go to 7th grade you had to pass, it was in February 2002 when this SUV pulled up the area that the test was taken place and then i heard that we were leaving, i rushed home and packed and that when weleft to come to America, i didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to my friends besides the ones who where in the testing room with me. We arrive in new york in february 24th 2002. We were settled in baltimoremaryland (Washington DC Area) where i have been living since then. I finished middle school, hight school andnow i am in college attending middle school.
HOW I AM SO MUCH INTO MUSIC
I have been a singer since i was little, as i grew upmy siblings and parent where a choir member so sincewe all-ready enough for a choir at home, we would besinging all the time as i grew up, i lost my voicelittle by little but when i got here i started to workon getting it back by taking vocal classes and lessons from great singers.
My siblings and i have a group called GOSPEL SOUND SYSTEM which its a gospel group. And they helped me stay on track with my sound as well. Then i started to attend shows for famous artists like Nelly, Nas, Akon, R-Kelly and many more. Thats when i wanted to pursue my talent in music. So it talked to few producers and they directed me to the right track. Now i have my own studio that i use to record my music and i am a sophomore in college. I attend St. Mary's College of Maryland and as of now, I have an album called "My Life, My Story" and it will be out Feb 16, 2008.
