The East African Community has lately had cracks that have threathened to draw a wedge between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda on the one hand and Tanzania on the other. The division follows the apparent sidelining of the vast nation in the fast-tracking of development projects in the region.

Tanzania now says it suspects a hidden agenda in the actions of the three partner states, and called for honest dialogue to resolve any misgivings.
