PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki accused Israeli leaders of trying to undermine the two state solution, in a speech delivered on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas in South Africa on Saturday evening.
South Africa's bitter experience of Apartheid, oppression and discrimination gives the country and its leaders a special understanding of Palestinian suffering under occupation, al-Malki added at the dinner hosted by South African President Jacob Zuma.
Israel considers Palestinian land disputed territory, in contradiction to UN resolutions which declare them occupied lands, al-Malki said, at the occasion marking the 100th anniversary of Zuma's ANC party.
More dangerously, Israelis are working to judaize occupied East Jerusalem in an attempt to annex the future capital of a Palestinian state, the Palestinian Authority foreign minister warned.
"Leaders of Israel talk about the two-state solution, but do their best to thwart that solution," he said.
Meanwhile, the whole world agrees that the two state solution of an independent Palestinian state living in peace beside Israel is the best way to end the conflict, he noted.
His comments come as Israeli and Palestinian envoys prepare to meet in Amman on Monday, for the second round of face-to-face talks called by representatives of the international Quartet.
The two sides held their first high-level talks in more than a year in the Jordanian capital last week. PLO envoys say they handed Israeli officials a proposal for resolving border and security issues at Tuesday's meeting. Judeh said Israeli representatives promised to respond to the proposals in future meetings.
Negotiations stalled in late 2010 after Israel refused to renew a partial freeze on Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank, which officials say threaten a viable Palestinian state.
