THE KURASINI PROJECT TO BENEFIT FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF BAHARI'S 4TH CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT


The Rotary Club of Bahari is holding its 4th annual charity Golf Tournament on May 31st at Gymkhana Club Dar es Salaam. The funds that are raised during this event are contributed to projects that are selected by the Club, this year's beneficiary being the Kurasini Project.

The President of the Rotary Club of Bahari Dar es Salaam Mr. Venkatesh Jayaraman said "we chose to support the Kurasini Project as a beneficiary, because the project aims to improve the livelihood of young girls by providing them with shelter, sewing machines and agricultural tools and techniques for their livelihood and sustainability. We hope to make an impact on the lives of countless girls through this project and promote peace through our services".

For the last 3 years the Rotary Club of Bahari has held the Golf Tournament charity events annually and throughout the years and a variety of projects became recipients of the funds that were raised.

In the past the Rotary Club of Bahari has supported projects that aim to improve literacy, sports and creativity, economic empowerment and youth empowerment.

This year the The golf tournament has 16 sponsors, the premium sponsors being; Total, Jubilee Insurance, CFAO and Airtel and other supporters include BMTL, R K Chudasama, Minex Logistics, SBC- Pepsi, D&AE Bosh, Softech, Scania, TBL, TDL, Spice Net, NasTyres and Jubilee Life.
